Hey There, Fellow Cat Lover!
I'm Sean Joseph Delaney, the creator behind Tabby Cat Guide.
My journey started out of pure love and curiosity. Like many of you, I found myself completely captivated by the playful nature and beautiful, intricate coat patterns of tabby cats. I wanted to understand them better, so I dove headfirst into researching feline genetics, behaviors, and patterns — spending countless hours studying the differences between classic swirls, mackerel stripes, and ticked agouti coats.
However, I quickly noticed a problem: most feline resources online were either buried under dry, confusing scientific jargon or scattered across outdated forums. It was incredibly frustrating for everyday pet parents to find simple, accurate answers.
"That is why I created Tabby Cat Guide — to translate complex science into simple, friendly, and practical guides."
Over the years, through hands-on experience, networking with breeders, and deep-diving into feline research, I've built this site to be your go-to corner for everything tabby.
Whether you're trying to identify your kitten's unique markings, wondering if ticked tabbies are rare, or just looking for expert care tips, I'm here to make that journey easy for you.
This guide is my passion project, built out of unconditional love for the cats that make our houses feel like homes. Thank you for being here, and I hope this space helps you connect even deeper with your feline friend!
